Ultramap Server

Vexcel Corporation in the US has released the UltraMap Server digital archive, catalogue and post-processing system.

The system is integrated into the mapping workflow of the company's UltraCam large format digital aerial camera. It provides a mechanism to manage the large number of images produced by the camera.

It is available in various configurations. These can be upgraded with additional processing and storage components, providing varying levels of automation. It also provides the flexibility to address the changing demands of an operation.

Components may include a robotic tape archive, a tape archiving management application, and the UltraMap server manager and processor programs. These are all controlled via a single graphical user interface that can be accessed remotely through a web browser.

A mobile server unit is also available to facilitate data transfer from the UltraCam to the server. More information from www.vexcel.com.
